Karen is a French to English technical marketing translator, writer and marketing consultant. She has experience across a wide range of industry sectors, both technical and non-technical.
She has considerable experience in resolving the cultural challenges that can arise even between two countries as close geographically to the UK as France and Belgium. She has a particular expertise in adapting technical copy for a variety of non-technical audiences.
Karen obtained the Chartered Institute of Linguists’ Translation Diploma in French to English in 1999. She complemented this in 2007 with an MSc in Scientific, Technical and Medical Translation with Translation Technology at Imperial College London.
Karen has over 15 years experience as a marketing manager both client-side and in marketing agencies. She managed translation and localisation projects with target audiences on five different continents. Her roles included project management, translation vendor selection and management, terminology and style guide management, internal stakeholder and regional office liaison.
Karen set up Anglicity in 2012 to provide specialist translation, copywriting and marketing communication services. Today, she focuses on the innovation, environment and FinTech fields.
